  • Hi there Guest. As a reminder - when you are updating/editing your threads in the Requests areas - it is sent to our approval queue to be checked against our site rules. It will take about 24 hours to approve and post. Questions can be sent to Auntie Angel!
  • Hi there Guest! This message is to let you know that leadership is aware there is an error in the posting of badges - that the image links themselves are broken. Rei is working to move the items to a different img host, but it may take a little while for the transition to be complete.
  • Happy Mother's Day to all those in our community that fit the role of mother in any way. You are valued and we of the Umbra Leadership Team value each and every one of you!

I got started roleplaying on a chat server called IMVU, which still exists but I did one-liners until I met a group of people that taught me how to write descriptively, even how to write battle scenes. I admit that I sucked(probably still do) but those were some fun times. One friend introduced me to forum writing and haven't looked back since. I've been on several sites, whether PG-13 or 18+.

I like to think that I love forum writing much, much better.

Damn, I remember IMVU... that was a weird time.

Wow! I kind of want to log back into my account now. I only did T-1 and T-2, didn't know the others existed! :D
I had to create a new account after forgetting the password to my original account waaaaay back when... I wonder if I still remember the password to my second account. Honestly the problem with IMVU is eventually all you're RPing is either hardcore T-1 or Smut. There was NO in-between except the kingdom RPs and those became pretty much a full time commitment...

"Where THE FUCK were you? We were ATTACKED!
-...it's 6PM. I just got back from work.
-WORK?! You can't have a job outside of this! You're our royal guard!
-Where the hell were YOU then?
-Oh, I was picking up my kids at kindergarden.
-YOU CAN'T RAISE KIDS! YOU'RE THE QUEEN!
-...guys, what did I miss?
-OH AND THEN THERE'S THIS ASSHOLE!"

Take me back to those days, when I was an assassin for a kingdom and got paid with credits lmao

I remember the Queen in one kingdom I was a part of was also a creator. Gave me a shirt.
"I killed the King of Altherguast and all I got was this lame T-shirt."

lmfao she was hoarding her credits for her precious kingdom.
No, she'd use the credits on sexy pixels from better creators and then would lure some of the kingdom's newbies into hilariously stupid missions that got us nowhere and probably brought the ire of other kingdoms to the extent where we had to disband within six months of her opening the stupid thing XD

I started roleplaying on a Rule 34 website.

...

No regrets whatsoever.

I was 17 when I first started roleplaying. I first got the hang of it through group roleplays on a site called Gaiaonline, (met my ex on there). But my best friend and I did one on one roleplays through msn (im dating myself), email and since we both went to the same highschool together, we wrote in notebooks.

The notebook ones were fun because we would exchange them a few times a day (pass the book off on our way to different classes. If we had the same class we would write during it.) As well as home time.

I still have the emails saved to some of the roleplays I did with her. 14 years ago, my writing has definitely changed a little.

I got my start on role playing on Quotev around 2014 or so, and I've been doing it ever since. I'm still not an expert, but I enjoy what I do and use it to escape the boringness of real life.

I'm up for romance, fantasy, modern tales. :)
