I am currently playing Horizon Zero Dawn and MAN. While I wish there was a bit more roleplay/character choice opportunities (Like mass effect or dragon age), the story and world building has me hooked. (I also really enjoy that it lets you play on easier difficulties without shaming you. I like video games, I'm not good at video games.)

What games are you currently playing? A new (or new to you) game? An old classic? Replaying Breath of the wild before Tears of the kingdom comes out in May? Any games you wanted to love but couldn't get into?

I need to finish the reboot for Rachet and Clank on PS4 I beat DOOM 2016 last year and now I just have one game to finish and I'll be all caught up. I played Zero Dawn back when I got my PS4 and it was really fun amazing game and great detail and world exploration. S Rank for me.

My drug is Diablo 2. I played it all the time back in high school, and a couple years ago I realized I still had the CD lying around, and it installed just fine on my PC, so I've been playing it on and off to relieve stress.

Halo is another old game I play on and off when I just want something simple to do to relax my mind. I know all the levels by memory so playing through them is a bit like meditation.

There used to be a game I would always play for meditation, usually with a podcast playing in the other browser tab. It was called Creeper World, a strategy game about building laser turrets to manage a blob of corrosive slime as it builds up and flows across the map. Being entirely visual/spatial, I could let it occupy one half of my brain while the other half is listening to words being spoken on the podcast, kind of like listening to the radio while driving. You can't play the game anymore, because it was coded in Flash, and Adobe pulled the plug on that engine a couple years back. But the same company, Knucklecracker, made some other games with free demos. One of them called Particle Fleet is pretty fun to play, even with just the demo levels.

The Made in Abyss game. It is brutal. The mechanics take a while to master and everythimg can go wrong in an instant if you aren't careful. From managing the effects of the Abyss's curse, to your food supplies, and weapons, it keeps you on your toes. No weapon, youre dead. No food, you starve, can't hold a weapon, can't run anymore, can't even change areas on the map. Not to mention you do have the risk of being poisoned, or having your arm or leg broken mid combat which can affect your ability to hold a weapon or run. You really have to go in prepared for the worst.

Genshin Impact and Monster Hunter Rise Sunbreak. Soon it'll be Breath of the Wild 2 when that eventually comes out in May.

I heard how amazing that game is and saw the entire story mode and I want more. The God Of War series has never had a bad video game ever. All reviews for every God Of War game has been positive.
