Hello, Umbra-ites! Umbra-ians? ...Umbros? Anyway, hello! I'm Conjuring, and I'm looking for some fun new roleplays. I'm going to try to keep things short and sweet, so if you're looking for a partner for an intricate, delicious story you can sink your teeth into, look no further.
What I Offer
- I shoot for, roughly, one reply per week, give or take. I'm busy IRL, so things may take a little longer on occasion.
- You will always receive well-checked, interesting replies that always do something to further the story.
- I love plotting, character development, and world-building at every step of our roleplay. I'll always come to the table with some kind of idea to pitch.
- Let's be friends OOC, if you want? Not necessary, of course, but I like making friends with my partners.
What I Ask of You
- Patience. Seriously, this is the biggest one. I cannot reply daily, sometimes even to OOC conversation. Please, please don't poke me unless it's been more than a week.
- Replies should be checked for spelling and grammar to the best of your ability; I don't mind a few mistakes, but if I can't understand what you're saying, I won't be able to respond.
- Let's not get too weird, huh? I'm here to write a story and chat with like-minded writers, not get my rocks off out of character.
General RP Preferences
- This can take place via thread or PM, I don't mind, but I don't go off-site.
- I play male or female. I prefer not to 'double' for the sake of 'making things fair' as I don't really care about that, but I'm open to have multiple pairings in one story if it makes sense for the story itself.
- For fandoms, I will only be doing canon x canon or OC x OC pairings.
Kinks & Limits
- Nothing in my cravings is required; it's just to give you an idea of what I enjoy writing. I don't care if things are left out, as long as my limits are respected.

Plot Bunnies — Fantasy
- Adventuring in an unexplored land or on some kind of quest, an adventurer happens upon a sentient monster, who rescues the adventurer from a trap and agrees to help them on their quest.
- Accused of killing another villager, a young woman is exiled into the forest — where the monster who actually committed the crime dwells.
- Sold into slavery, a young woman is purchased by a mysterious benefactor looking to save her from the slave trade.
- Trapped in a small village, a halfling barmaid longs for a greater adventure. Deciding to stow away on a visiting caravan, she experiences the world for the first time.
- Returning to a vacation home they haven't been to in years, a young adult is shocked to discover a supernatural creature (vampire, werewolf, etc.) or sentient monster has taken residence there.
- An arranged marriage forms between the princess of an orc kingdom and an elven prince for their kingdoms' peace.
- Dared to explore a haunted house by a group of bullies, an outcast finds the source of the urban legend surrounding the creepy house.
- Though no one knows how long it's been, some time has passed since the world has been overtaken by zombies. Two strangers are forced into sheltering together, begrudgingly traveling together even though they don't get along at first.
- Crash landed on Earth, an exiled alien is taken in by a human who finds him.
- When an alien creature is captured and kept in a laboratory to study, they form a friendship — and eventually a relationship — with one of their caretakers.
Plot Bunnies — Modern
- A queen-of-the-world international pop star and a rising star athlete form a relationship. Everyone thinks it's fake, for public relations, and maybe it started out that way... but soon enough, they take the world by storm.
- Freshly released from prison, an ex-con is shown sympathy by his new next door neighbor.
- A small-town detective goes undercover in a nearby religious cult, seeking to free a family member, but ends up wanting to expose the leader from the inside out — and take along a hostage, born within the cult, who begs him to help her escape when she discovers his plan.
- In a highly religious sect (think Amish, fundamentalist religion, etc.) two young adults are arranged to be married. When they discover their new spouse doesn't want to live in their strict religion any longer, how do they work together to escape and deprogram?
- When a witness to a crime is sent into witness protection, they slowly bond with their assigned agent — only to find out they don't really want to return to their old life.
Plot Bunnies — Historical
- Aboard the Titanic, a first-class Frenchwoman aboard the ship with her husband-to-be, sneaks off to a third-class party, being rescued from an uncouth man by a third-class passenger.
- When pirates close in on the home of young, wealthy newlyweds, the husband attempts to sacrifice his wife for his own safety. Abhorred by this, the pirate captain takes the young woman hostage instead — and shows her a life of adventure.
- Marooned on a deserted island, a pirate captain is kept company by a lone mermaid.
- During World War II, a young woman's brother tells her about a soldier in his regiment who receives no letters from home. Determined to boost his spirits, she writes to him.
- Traveling along the Oregon Trail with a kindly family that allowed her passage in exchange for help with their young children, a young woman — running away from an arranged marriage at home — bonds with a widower in the wagon train.
Fandoms
All characters will be aged up to at least 18+ if they are not already. Any fandoms with a school as their primary location will not take place in the school, but instead, in an aged-up universe, or in the world around it. For example, if Hogwarts is to be used as the setting, first years will be eighteen years old — think more Hogwarts University. I do not play any characters under the age of eighteen.
