Hiya staff.

So I might be too new to suggest things or I may have missed this, but I checked all the rules and could not find a place where you said if this site was only for roleplaying in forums or you could also roleplay in pm's. I assume by not saying anything you imply it's fine for others, but I find the majority of forum sites (at least the popular ones) seem to have rules that you can only write in the public forums.

Would it be possible to add to the rules something explicitly saying where we're allowed to write? Whether that be just forums or both, it'd definitely help give someone like me the peace of mind who came from one of those sites that have rules about it.

Minor thing, I know. Maybe too minor for this thread. If so sorry about that.

Thanks all!

Hey there!

Firstly, you are never too new to suggest anything. We are always happy to hear suggestions from all members!

Secondly, you are allowed to roleplay in either forums or PMs. While we understand why other sites have the "No RPing in PMs" rule, we do not agree with it and therefore have not implemented it on our site.

While I completely understand why you would make this suggestion (and I absolutely love and appreciate you for checking in), I'm not sure if it is really necessary to add to the rules. The omission of any detail specifying what is and is not okay as far as RP placement feels like it is suggestion enough and should hopefully lead users to the correct conclusion that they are allowed to RP either publically or privately.

That being said, I will be working on a New User guide in the future to help those joining the site acclimate more smoothly. This topic may be something that would be more appropriate in that area to discuss and clarify for any users who are unsure where roleplaying is appropriate.

Does that sound like something you think would be helpful? As you have a vested interest in making sure people are clear on our allowances, I'd love to get your feedback.

That information being in a new user guide would work fine :) as long as it's somewhere for paranoid people like me (what can I say) it'll work wherever. Thanks!
