December Update - Preparing to shift!

Happy Holidays, Umbra Community!

As we move into the Month of December, there are a few things we wanted to make sure to remind you all of.

  1. Please make sure you revisit our Rules Area and familiarize yourself with the Site, RP, Request Thread, and Image Rules. These are important to keeping our site running smoothly and while it may not feel like it is important - they are each written up for a reason. We have been seeing more and more violations and we want to ensure everyone is on the same page.

  2. The transition is beginning for our shift to a new server host. I am pulling together all the information I need as I type this to make sure this will be a seamless shift. Remember - we will be starting the shift officially on DECEMBER 19TH, and will be down until the 26TH AT THE EARLIEST.
    I will be doing all I can to get that info updated and put into the new host as soon as possible, but this is my first time doing something of this magnitude.

    We have some events planned for the month that you can do/think on during the downtime, so don't you worry one bit about that! Please make sure you join the site discord to not miss out on any updates/events while we are down.

  3. To assist us in the transition we have been moving forward with - we thought it was about time to provide some well-deserved recognition to one of our own, a user that greets everyone with a smile and brings joy when we all need it -

    Please welcome to the Leadership Team - @Lady Mothra! You may recognize her name from all her welcoming greetings when new people come to our site - and wishing happy birthdays galore. We are excited to have her as part of the team and hope to have adventures in the future!​

This is a great opportunity to remind you all that while we may not be constantly taking on new leadership - you are always welcome to put your hat in to join the squad.

Because this transition will include an upgrade, there will most likely be visual changes on the site that might be a bit of a surprise, my goal is to have it straightened out before it goes back up - but I may need to go live while things are a touch ugly. But I'll get it fixed up ASAP!
